on August 9th, 2012 in News by The Brewster TrustTHE BREWSTER TRUST – The second half at the Football Holiday Camp 2012
THE BREWSTER TRUST’s Football Holiday Camp 2012 is for girls, boys and also for children with disabilities. It takes place at Queen’s College with various age groups in the months of July and August 2012 for in total nine weeks. The courses are held by coaches from Arsenal FC, namely Joe Mitchell, Sam Ingram, Luke Howard and Ognjen “Oggy” Soskic and Nathaniel P. Brewster, Vice-President and co-founder of THE BREWSTER TRUST.
Focus children
The camp started with a coaching course for 46 local football coaches before 137 registered campers of the age group 5-9 years took over the field in weeks two and three. The last two weeks the registered charity hosted the first group aged 10-14.
Axel Bernhardt, CEO of THE BREWSTER TRUST, states: “Although we had to deal with a bank holiday and in addition a tropical depression we have seen very committed campers and of course parents. We had 152 campers including 32 from last year, eight percent girls; in average we had every day 128 participants or 84%, 70 campers or 46% attended every single day. Two numbers which made us very happy, 102 campers or 67.11% attended on the bank holiday, 95 campers or 62.50% didn’t want to miss last Friday and a lot of rain and fun.”
