on July 27th, 2012 in News by The Brewster TrustTHE BREWSTER TRUST – “Football for everyone” at the Holiday Camp 2012
THE BREWSTER TRUST’s Football Holiday Camp 2012 is for girls, boys and also for children with disabilities. It takes place at Queen’s College with various age groups in the months of July and August 2012 for in total nine weeks. The courses are held by coaches from Arsenal FC, namely Joe Mitchell, Sam Ingram, Luke Howard and Ognjen “Oggy” Soskic and Nathaniel P. Brewster, Vice-President and co-founder of THE BREWSTER TRUST.
Focus children
After a coaching course for football coaches with 46 registered local coaches, 137 registered campers of the age group five to nine years started their ten days on 9th July 2012. The multifarious coaching sessions from 9.00am to 3.30pm daily include competitions, basic passing techniques, dribbling and turning at speed, slalom, turns, control and heading sessions including aerial control, using various parts of the body, basic techniques of shooting.
Axel Bernhardt, CEO of THE BREWSTER TRUST, states: “We are impressed with the feedback we got from the children and the parents. We had 137 campers including 21 from last year, 8% girls; in average we had every day 128 participants or 93.58%, 105 campers or 76.64% attended every single day. We have to thank the parents for their confidence in our organisation but especially the daily transportation and punctuality. We also have to thank the committed local coaches who supported us over the last two weeks.”

On the last day of the first group in age group 5-9 the awards for the “Most outstanding Players” and the “Fair Play” trophies have been handed over:
