Organiser
The Football Holiday Camp 2023 is organised by THE BREWSTER TRUST, a registered Charity in Barbados. The trust’s main mission is to promote, develop and improve football in Barbados with the aim of creating opportunities at all levels, especially for the youth.
Coaches
The coaches at the camp are familiar with The Brewster Trust and its mission and most of them have been coaching at programmes in Barbados before.
The programme
The two-week programmes are all about the youth. The training sessions are age group and performance related and following THE BREWSTER TRUST’s mission it is football for everyone straight from the beginner, full of fun and surprises.
Coaching in several groups – coaches are assigned to groups to encourage familiarity with the young people. The coaches will work with that same group over the course of each two-week periods.
THE BREWSTER TRUST offers the age group 18+ also to integrate parents as well as senior players to the charity’s football programme.
If you want to attend with a full team or group of people please contact us directly.
Coaching elements
Coaching elements will be multifarious with daily competitions based on the session, basic passing techniques developing the range and accuracy of the players, developing the players’ basic dribbling and turning techniques like dribbling at speed, slalom dribbling, dribbling with turns incorporated, control sessions and heading sessions including aerial control with the focus on using various parts of the body like feet, knees or chest, basic techniques of shooting with a development focused on shooting with various parts of the strong and the weak feet, 3 vs. 2 and 4 vs. 3 shooting sessions and mini matches or a tournament at the end of the two weeks. This will be followed by presentations to all players as well as some awards being handed out.
Besides the sessions on the field the programme includes classroom sessions with football as part of general literacy as well as teaching the rules and laws of football and additionally the popular indoor Futsal sessions.
Venue
The Football Holiday Camp is going to be held at The Parkinson Resource Centre in The Pine, St. Michael; security, drop-off and pick-up zones as well as parking will be organised; our venue partner in conjunction with the Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy will provide changing rooms, classrooms, toilets and bathrooms – and of course a “lost and found”.
We don’t want to miss to thank the Community Development Department of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment for the hospitality and the generous support.

Boots Campaign 2023
We always receive one particular request – football boots of a proper quality and for a reasonable price. In close co-operation with our long-term partner PUMA the charity can offer football boots allotted in 22 different sizes. Click here for our (integrated) Boots Campaign 2023.
Children with disabilities & special needs
As a matter of course THE BREWSTER TRUST offers the Football Holiday Camp 2023 also to children with special needs and/or disabilities. Any special requirements can be discussed prior to registration with the Organiser.
Breakfast Club
THE BREWSTER TRUST will again offer a Breakfast Club for the upcoming camp to help participants to get a nutritious start to their camp day, in response to growing concerns that children were attending the programme without having any breakfast. An implementation depends on additional donations of our camp family.
During the application and registration processes THE BREWSTER TRUST will find out more about feasibility and contributions to finally decide about the Breakfast Club; applicants who tick ‘interested’ on the application/registration form will be contacted accordingly.
Final remark
As footballers THE BREWSTER TRUST doesn’t write team with an “I”. To organise a programme like the Holiday Camp 2023 and to entertain this amount of campers including their families on a day-to-day basis for four weeks – reliable partners with passion and commitment make the difference. Therefore, our thank goes to our venue partners The Parkinson Resource Centre and Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy, UNICEF, PUMA, CG UNITED, Island Care, Michael Greaves Associates (Barbados) Inc. and the many others and volunteers in the background for the fantastic support. Much appreciated.
Consider discipline, respect and fair play for the game.
